From the starting point of the Viennese School of Fantastic Realism in the 1970s, Werner Horvath developed his own painting style that went beyond that. It is inspired by an epistemological current of contemporary philosophy: Constructivism.
His paintings have strong references to current world politics, especially to the theme „clash of civilizations“. The artist takes a critical stance in terms of democratic values such as dialogue, tolerance and human rights.
Werner Horvath has developed a lively exhibition activity at home and abroad. His work is regularly reviewed in the media and meets with the approval of international collectors.
